Meta-Analysis of the Impact of Parental Assistance Programs on Elementary School Students' Learning Achievement

Abstract

This research to study impact of parent mentoring program to performance Study student school base through meta- analysis approach. The purpose of the study was identify and analyze effectiveness various form parental guidance in increase achievement academic children. The research method used the PRISMA approach by analyzing 32 reputable journal articles published in 2015-2024. The results showed that the parental mentoring program had a positive influence on student learning achievement with an average effect size of 0.53 (95% CI [0.41, 0.65]). The findings revealed four forms of mentoring that were most effective: (1) structured mentoring in learning activities at home, (2) routine parent-teacher communication, (3) creating a conducive learning environment, and (4) developing family literacy. The effectiveness of the program was moderated by family socio-economic factors, parental education level, and school support. The study concluded the importance of a comprehensive approach and school-family collaboration in designing an effective parental mentoring program.
